Jeep Company has published some photos of Yuntu concept car that will be presented at the 2017 Auto Show in Shanghai. The model is designed for seven passengers and equipped by a hybrid power unit as it is evidenced by the PHEV plate on the door. The new crossover is similar to Jeep Wagoneer SUV that is the one model supplied by three rows of seats.

The modified Wagoneer crossover will get an aluminum body and a steel frame borrowed from RAM pick-up. Most likely that the Americans will propose 3.6-liter V6 engine for a standard model and 5.7 V8 motor for the top one as well as a hybrid power plant.

As for the design, to follow the current trends the carmakers have complemented the concept car by darken front pillars and the lack of center ones because of the doors opening up against the turn. Instead of cameras there are installed the usual side mirrors that make us think that this model is a preproduction variant. The dark vertical strip in the center that makes an illusion of the double opening of the luggage compartment was previously used on the Toyota FT-4X concept. It should be noticed that the concept’s exterior design looks like the one proposed for Infiniti QX80 Monograph. The new Jeep Wagoneer is supposed to be manufactured in 2018 year.
