Huge Jeep Grand Commander for Chinese market

Creating a new Grand Commander SUV, the developers used as a base an original image of Jeep Yuntu Concept. However, the serial version of the model lost touch-sensitive door handles and some other body parts and interior elements. The car has got narrow headlights, compact grille, perfectly flat roof, high-mounted LED lights at rear, as well as a large tailgate and powerful bumper. The external dimensions of 2018-2019 Commander are 4873 mm long, 1892 mm wide, 1738 mm height, with a wheelbase of 2,800 mm.

The new SUV will be available with a 5-seat and 7-seat saloon in four fixed modifications such as Longitude, Limited, Overland and Summit. According to preliminary information, Grand Commander will be offered by adaptive cruise control, two and three zone climate control, UConnect multimedia systems, seats with the electric drive, heating and ventilation, keyless access, electric luggage compartment door.

Under the hood there will be located the newest 2.0-liter turbocharged Hurricane in two variants of output, 234 and 265 horsepower. The motor will be complemented by a non-alternative 9-speed automatic transmission. The official debut of the new Jeep Grand Commander is scheduled for early April in Beijing.
