Jeep Grand Cherokee of 2016 model year received an upgraded Pentastar engine

Chrysler Company has completed the development of improved engine Pentastar V6. As was previously reported, the new power plant got another system of direct fuel injection and turbocharging modifications. The first car, which received a new power unit will be upgraded Jeep Grand Cherokee which official premiere will take place at the end of 2015.

The new updated crossover will be powered with the significantly enhanced 3.6-liter V6 engine of Pentastar family, which according to unofficial data, will provide about 300 horsepower. In addition, the upgraded engine will be installed on a Chrysler Town & Country minivan of 2016 model year. The car will get a 3.2-liter six-cylinder Pentastar. The motor will run in conjunction with the nine-automatic transmission.

According to preliminary information, an upgraded Pentastar will significantly reduce fuel consumption; the new minivan will be 25% more economical as compared to its predecessor. More detailed information should be announced in the near future.
