Still, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles Company decided to refuse the production of all-aluminum Jeep Wrangler of new generation. The head of the Italian-American auto giant Sergio Marchionne has admitted in an interview with Automotive News that an aluminum body would be too expensive, and the plant in Toledo, Ohio, would have to be seriously re-equipped. That’s why the next Wrangler will have only some aluminum components, for example the hood and doors.

The most popular SUV will be more economical due to the reduced weight, advanced aerodynamics and elaborated power trains. We remind that, according to the five-year plan of the FCA Corporation, the new Wrangler release id scheduled for the second quarter of 2017. Also, Mr. Marchionne said that the new Grand Cherokee may be a bit late – production of the model is tied to the future 7-seat flagship Grand Wagoneer, in order to reduce costs.
