Jeep Yuntu concept shown at the April Motor Show in Shanghai will turn into a production car. Whichever name this car eventually receives, it will become the largest model of the brand. One has to ask, the production version Yuntu will be sold exclusively in the Middle Kingdom or will go to other markets?

Comparison of the pictures of the camouflaged prototype and the concept shows both similarities and notable differences. Like the show car, the Yuntu model will get a seven-seat design and hybrid unit. The experimental car received six separate seats, but for the production version there will be used the 2 + 3 + 2 landing formula. In addition, the rear lights, sidewalls and glazing are very similar to the patent drawings edited in May. But then it was suggested that they were linked to a future giant under Wagoneer name.

It seems that the prototype has got the optics that also will be offered for a serial off-road car, although the carmakers quite often use temporary lamps in the early stages of testing. This indirectly speaks of the car’s debut in 2018. The platform for a seven-seat model is still unknown. It is assumed that the production SUV will also be equipped with a 2.0-liter petrol four-cylinder engine as well as with a 3-liter V6.
