Mopar has prepared new Jeep concepts for SEMA 2014 (part 2)
Jeep Renegade Frostbite style differs from the Riptide color scheme. The body of crossover is painted in white color, but the grille, wheels disks and mirror caps are made in bright azure color. Designers of this concept put new blue seats inside of car, and installed snowboarding and alpine skis on the trunk.
Mopar has prepared new Jeep concepts for SEMA 2014 (part 1)
Mopar organization within the Chrysler Group which produces spare parts, accessories and tuning, prepared for the 2014 SEMA auto exhibition at least six special Jeep and Ram concept cars. Particular attention was paid to the novelty of this year, a Jeep Renegade small crossover, which was present in two remarkable interpretations – Riptide and Frostbite.
Jeep Wrangler will keep a framed body structure
Representatives of the Jeep Company have announced that car maker does not intend to change the frame structure of the body while creating a next generation of powerful Jeep Wrangler SUV. For the first time the idea of using the carrier body type for Jeep Wrangler appeared after the statement of the Fiat Chrysler Concern leader, Sergio Marchionne. However, in case of non-use of the frame structure, the car assembly should be transferred to the company in Toledo, which in turn will cause the huge expenses for modernizing the production line.
Jeep Wrangler got supercharged V6 from Geiger Cars tuners
German tuning company Geiger Cars has presented a tuning package for the Jeep Wrangler SUV, which got mightier power unit and enhanced off-road driving characteristics. The car received new charged 3.6-liter six-cylinder engine of Pentastar family, it is equipped with a mechanical supercharger with an intercooler and upgraded exhaust system. As a result, an engine power increased from the original 284 to 365 horsepower, and the maximum torque increased from 347 Nm to 417 Nm.
Jeep created seven concept cars for the 2015 Moab Easter Jeep Safari (part 3)
Magnificent color of the midsize Jeep Cherokee for its Canyon Trail concept made it extremely fascinating. It received a satin black hood together with similarly colored accents on the car’s roof. Interior of the Canyon Trail is Katzkin leather trimmed, with a JPP logo on the seats. The off-road capability is improved due to two-piece underbody skid plate, front suspension skid plates, oil pan and unique high quality 17-inch alloy wheels with all-terrain tires. All this set provides an additional half-inch of lift. Like the Renegade, the car is equipped with the 2.4-liter Tigershark engine.
